GigU will only process trips that display the following details on screen:
- Trip's Earnings: Offers without upfront pricing will not be supported.
- Trip Distance: The total distance of the trip in miles must be visible.
- Trip Duration: The estimated time of the trip must be displayed.
- Important: If a trip displays only Earnings and Duration but lacks Distance, GigU will still show its overlay card. However, the $/mile information will not be available.
If GigU isn’t functioning correctly, try these troubleshooting steps.
- Update the App: Ensure you have the latest version of GigU installed.
- Check Permissions: Confirm that all required permissions, especially accessibility, are enabled in your phone’s settings. On Xiaomi and Samsung devices, go to Settings > Accessibility > Installed/Transferred Apps.
- Restart the Device: A simple restart can resolve temporary system issues affecting the app’s performance.
- Adjust Font Size and Zoom: Large text can interfere with GigU’s ability to read information. Reduce font size and zoom in your device’s settings.
- Floating Icons: Remove floating icons from other apps, such as 99 and Uber, that may block GigU’s view. For GigU's floating button, go to Copilot settings and adjust the button’s size and opacity.
- Phone Language: Your phone language needs to be setup as English-US for it to work properly.
These steps resolve most common issues and help keep GigU running smoothly.
